克羅地亞的伊甸園 (EDEN)

A small town near Zadar, Nin has a very rich and tumultuous history. Its location is intriguing; the heart of Nin is its historical center on an islet only 500 meters in diameter. Nin is situated in a lagoon on the eastern shore of the Adriatic Sea, surrounded by natural sandy beaches and linked with the mainland by two stone bridges from the 16th century.http://www.nin.hr/

＊第一天，零晨一時上機，中途要轉機（兩個半小時），

18小時後終於到達克羅地亞首都Zagreb，即乘巴士去Zadar。
第二天早上，坐巴士去Nin，位於Zadar 西北14公里，
是一個好細小的島，曾被獲選為伊甸園的地點。

The Church of the Holy Cross 被譽為世界最小的教堂

教堂建於 9 世紀，內部長 7.80 m , 寬7.60 m , 高8.20 m ;

建築是沿用希臘十字設計。

The Church of the Holy Cross called „the smallest cathedral in the world“ is the most

valuable preserved monument of early Croatian religious architecture and one of Nin's symbols.

By its position and beauty it dominates the area where it stands. It was built in the 9th century,

in the Early Christian period. It is the only religious object in Nin which has remained

untouched since its construction to date. It is 7.80 m long, 7.60 m wide, and 8.20 metres

in height (inside measures) and the walls are 57cms thick. It was built on the

remains of ancient houses which are visible even today. During the reign of

Croatian Kings it served as a Court chapel for the nearby Duke's Court.

A number of medieval graves were discovered around the church.

This small church, thanks to the position of its windows and the angle of the fall

of light is a kind of calendar, and according to the sun 's rays, the exact date of

the equinox and solstice can be determined, which on the first day of summer is the

start of an interesting event called „The Festival of Sun and Light“.

Spellbound by its beauty, the famous English architect Thomas Jackson,

called it “ the smallest cathedral in the world “.

潟湖中好多surfing 愛好者

距離小島500米有一個像鐮刀的沙灘，向潟湖這邊是淺灘。

在沙灘盡頭的沙丘上，看見左邊是退潮中的大海，右邊是潟湖。

這個擁有兩面沙灘，是吸引來訪的原因之一

教堂建於 11 世紀，內部長 5.90 m , 寬5.70 m , 高6 m ,

是早期羅馬式建築;

曾有七位國王在小城Nin加冕，根據傳統，被加冕的統治者,

會騎在馬背上走到聖尼古拉斯教堂進行儀式。

A recognisable symbol of Nin is the Church of St Nicholas, located in the field of Prahulje,

it is very important for the rulers of the Croatian dynasty and for the history of Croatia and Nin. According to tradition, seven Kings were crowned in Nin, and every crowned ruler rode

on horseback to the Chruch of Saint Nicholas, and it was in fact here that

he would be presented to the people by the same symbolic ritual-on that

mound he would cut with a sword the four corners of the world.

The small church is built on an earthen mound which rises above the wide field,

and it is just here on this place that the visitor can experience an unforgettable sunset.

In the mound can be found, as yet, unexcavated prehistoric graves.

The church s 5.90 m long, 5.70 m wide and 6 m in height (measured from the inside),

while the walls are 50 cm thick. Due to the danger from the Turks as an addition to the church,

a defence crown with 8 battlements was built in the 16-17th century, which served as

a watch tower. The Church of Saint Nicholas is the only preserved example of

the early-Romanesque architecture of such form in Dalmatia, which dates from the end of

the 11th and the beginning of the 12th century.

Zadar的民宿（坐巴士8分鐘），150kn每晚

由Zadar去Nin的巴士車程30分鐘，差不多每小時都有巴士，車費18kn。

忘憂草....Oct 29, 2012 9:14 PM 終於知道去了那兒旅遊了.克羅地亞，是草發夢也沒想過會到的地方。今次草要認真的看看，這處地方是怎樣. 剛剛看到是一片藍藍的天空，像呼吸著寧靜、清新的空氣。一面藍、一面黃的海水匯合，感覺像甚麼東西也能共融，像不同人種一樣。
